I start to cry
Shattered and badly beaten by love long since lost
Stained and tainted by time
Alone and walking through empty streets in search for something
that might not be there
Against the odds and against the grain
Disappearing headlights in the fog, keeps the calm inside at bay
Chanting your name as i start to cry in my loneliness
Awkward spaces between life’s powerful grip and death’s enchanting gloomy depths
all found on the inside of the ever growing void left behind
Mourn my demise and glorify my shortcomings
Endless paths on which we’ll follow the endless choice of good and bad
the path on which all things never lead to the end
just the backbreaking task of staying alive against all odds
