Philadelphia by Neil Young

Such a beautiful song which brings out the tears. It is featured in the movie Philadelphia at the very end of the movie. It’s one of the strongest movie endings and it will make you cry. If it doesn’t, then it’s something wrong with you and not me. I just love the emotional vocals by Neil Young and the very emotional piano in this song.

Lyrics :

Sometimes I think that I know
What loves all about
And when I see the light
I know Ill be all right.

I’ve got my friends in the world,
I had my friends
When we were boys and girls
And the secrets came unfurled.

City of brotherly love
Place I call home
Don’t turn your back on me
I don’t want to be alone
Love lasts forever.

Someone is talking to me,
Calling my name
Tell me I’m not to blame
I wont be ashamed of love.

Philadelphia,
City of brotherly love.
Brotherly love.

Sometimes I think that I know
What loves all about
And when I see the light
I know Ill be all right.
Philadelphia.

Hear it here (this is not the actual ending of the movie) :
