All My Love Is Gone

I fell in love with this track some 5 or 6 years ago. Don’t really know when, to be honest. It’s not often that you hear a French track that is as good as this one, at least i think so. The singer is Alizée and the track is “Moi..Lolita” from the album with the same name which was released in 2000.

She was discovered by another French singer, Mylène Farmer, which made a track called “Désenchantée”. That track sold 1.300.000 and turned platinum and it’s from the album “L’autre…”. A great track with a really good video, more on that another time. (more…)

This track by Depeche Mode’s Martin L. Gore is a masterpiece. A masterpiece off complex emotions, filled with angst, longing and hope. The first time i heard this track was from a LIVE album and i fell in love with the song instantly. I just love the way Martin sings it and i think that the raw emotion that he has in his voice wouldn’t make it sound the same if it was David Gahan who sang it instead. (more…)

One of my favorite songs, that really makes all your emotions run wild, is Sanvean by the Dead Can Dance from the live album Toward the Within. This song makes me cry every time i listen to it, because of all emotions that come forth. Lisa Gerrard’s voice is like the one of an angel, it’s hard to describe, but is just beautiful. The best thing about it, is that she sings in a invented language that doesn’t exist and she does it with such a presence that it’s amazingly beautiful.
